The Very Grand Canyon

Our month of weekend travel has been really really fun and also exhausting. But so worth it : ) The weekend after Vegas, Nate and I went on a short 2 day trip to the Grand Canyon! Our friends, Afton and Gerrit, met us in Palm Springs to drive the rest of the 6 hours to AZ with us. We packed all we could into the short time we were there and loved every minute! We hiked down Bright Angel Trail, drove around to all the look out points on Desert View Drive, and biked the rim with Bright Angel Bike Rentals. The rental place was also a cafe with grab and go food and good coffee, which is hard to come by in this very very very small town with a lack of options. So, if you take a trip here and you’re feeling desperate for food in the park- this is my only suggestion. They shockingly had gluten free bread too- whaaa whatt??

Man, the Grand Canyon, was out of this world. It was so…grand…that I didn’t feel like I could take it all in. It seemed like we were staring at this beautiful painting that couldn’t possibly be real. But it was. And I was thankful to finally see a place I had wanted to explore for years! And on top of that, with friends we love so much. Here are some of my favorite photos from our trip : )
