As I said in my last entry about Paris, I think it is one of God’s greatest gift to mankind and because of that it deserves two blog posts. First, because I have too many photos from our trip. Second, because I wanted to make a list of all the fun activities and things to do while there and there wasn’t enough room in the first entry. So, I’ll jump right in with a list of must do’s while in Paris.
Walk through the Jardin Du Luxembourg. It was one of my favorite things we did and one of the most beautiful gardens I’ve ever been in.
Go on a day trip to Giverny to see Monet’s home and garden. Life changing.
Take a tour of the Opera house or see an Opera performance there.
Picnic in front of the Eiffel tower and wait for it to sparkle when the sun sets.
Have wine and cheese along the Seine.
Walk all through Le Marais, explore, eat at any of the outdoor cafe’s.
See the Sacre Coeur and walk to the top to see an amazing view of the city.
Have breakfast in Monmarte, explore the cobblestone ally ways and don’t forget my favorite croissant I mentioned.
Go to the Musee de l’Orangerie to see the rooms full of Monet’s water lillys.
Take a day trip to Reims (champagne region) and do a tour of one the champagne houses (we did Veuve Clicquot).
Walk through the Tuileries Garden and get gelato.
Obviously, make sure to do all the classics like Notre Dame, Seine river cruise, top of the Eiffel tower, Musee D’Orsay, The Louvre, Champs-Elysees, Arc De Triomphe, etc. But I wanted to list some of the lesser known things to do that were our absolute favorite. And of course on top of all these fun things, the best part of Paris is eating. So just never stop doing that.
