Last week I posted about our trip to the Pacific Northwest. We went to Seattle for the first 2 days, and the last three were spent in Portland. There was so much anticipation and expectation leading up to our days in Portland…and I have to say, it didn’t disappoint. I think I even prefered Portland over Seattle…which is saying a lot.
Portland is everything you think it is. A small city surrounded by a sea of trees, separated by a dozen old bridges, filled with endless coffee shops and gourmet donuts, and most of all…taken over by Patagonia.
Exploring this city has already been one of the highlights of our year and I can’t wait to go back! The two hikes we did were right outside the city in Forest Park and Washington Park. Our favorite breakfast was at Tin Shed on Alberta St., and the tastiest (and friendliest, I may add) bakery was Back To Eden. This place was unreal, not only adorable inside as you’ll see, but it was hard not to order everything on the menu. The yummiest coffee we had in Portland was at Barista and this goes without saying- you must get Salt & Straw ice cream if ever in Stumptown. And that ends my little rant about what I think you should consume while there!
Here are some snap shots of our time there : )
